Our Story

Born in the mountains. Built for the mountains.

Our founder stood at the base of an alpine valley and watched a helicopter turn back, grounded by fog. A ground team walked for four hours to reach a victim who could have been saved in twenty minutes. That night, a simple question was asked: "Why isn't there a drone that can fly here?"

Existing drones were too loud, relied on GPS that fails in deep valleys, and couldn't coordinate as a team. So we built one that could.

Our Mission

To protect lives and preserve nature by building the world's most advanced silent autonomous systems for extreme environments.

Our Vision

A world where no one is unreachable, no emergency is unsurvivable, and no corner of the planet is beyond the reach of compassionate technology.

Why the Name Hathor

Hathor is the ancient Egyptian goddess of the sky, protection, and motherhood — depicted with wings that sheltered the vulnerable, watching over the world from above. An unexpected name for a Swiss company. But so is a drone that flies through fog without GPS. We embrace both.

Timeline

From a fogged-in valley to a certified platform.

2024

Hathor founded. Concept design and system architecture completed.

Founded after a real mountain-rescue mission a helicopter couldn't reach in time. Core team assembled around autonomy, aerospace, and alpine operations; first architecture reviews completed for a silent, GPS-denied drone family.

2025

Partnerships signed with leading Swiss research institutes. First prototype begins. Pilot talks with a Swiss cantonal fire service, an alpine rescue organization, and a Swiss infrastructure operator.

Consortium research partnerships formalized around acoustic propulsion and autonomous navigation. Owl and Bee prototypes enter bench and indoor flight testing. Early conversations begin with cantonal and infrastructure operators to shape real mission requirements.

2026

Outdoor BVLOS test flights begin. Swarm coordination demonstrated with 5 Owl platforms. First Bee light-show pilot.

First outdoor beyond-visual-line-of-sight trials in alpine terrain. Multi-agent swarm coordination validated across five Owl units. Bee debuts publicly as a silent light-show alternative to fireworks. FOCA pre-application submitted.

2027

FOCA certification achieved. First commercial fleet sale to a Swiss canton. Alpin System launched to Europe.

Full FOCA certification for BVLOS operations. First fleet contract signed with a Swiss canton, alongside expanding light-show and inspection service agreements. European expansion begins with target markets in Austria, France, and Italy.

Our Values

Every decision starts with one question.

"Does this save lives or reduce suffering?" If yes, we build it. If not, we don't.

Swiss Precision

The highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety. We engineer for the extreme.

Silent Strength

True power doesn't need to be loud. Quiet, efficient, undisruptive.

Humanity First

We exist to serve people, not markets.

Environmental Stewardship

Zero emissions. Minimal noise. Maximum respect for nature.

Innovation Without Compromise

Responsible, transparent, accountable. Never at the cost of safety or ethics.

How We Deploy

From pilot program to fleet — a proven path.

We work with cantonal agencies, utilities, and rescue organizations through a structured three-phase rollout — never a one-off pitch.

Phase 1 · Prototype & Validation

Prove it in your terrain

Owl prototypes validated against your operational conditions. Acoustic and navigation performance demonstrated on-site.

Phase 2 · Certification & Pilot

Run a paid pilot program

FOCA-aligned BVLOS operations. First paid missions alongside your existing rescue or inspection workflow.

Phase 3 · Fleet & Support

Scale to a full fleet

Pre-production fleet delivered with annual maintenance, AI updates, and pilot training under a service contract.

System sale

Certified units sold directly to civil protection agencies, utilities, and rescue organizations.

CHF 50,000 – 150,000 / unit
Service contract

Annual maintenance, software updates, pilot training, and BVLOS operational support.

~20% of system price / year
Turnkey light shows

Fully managed drone light displays for cities, festivals, and corporate events.

CHF 50,000 – 200,000 / show

Indicative ranges — final pricing depends on configuration and volume. Request a detailed quote →
